Ingredients:
4 tomatoes - diced fine
1 onion - diced fine
1/2 bunch calianto leaves - diced fine
2 jalapenos - remove veins and seeds - diced fine
2 limes - squeeze juice
Preparation:
The first step is to clean the dishes from the party from last night with your friends. Grab 4 tomatoes, 1 onion, 1/2 bunch of caliant leaves, 2 jalapenos, and 2 limes.
Mom always needed my help because she has a bad back and can't bend over to get the ingredients.
My mom would turn the radio on and sing her favorite song to help with the pain. I was 5 so i thought I was a big boy and i was happy to help my mom. She was standing at the cabneits,
she said, "Hunter come help me grab these bowls sweetie"
I said, "Yes ma'am"
Take a large round bowl and grab 4 tomatoes and dice fine then toss them into the large round bowl
Mom grabs the knife and starts to chop and dice the tomatoes as I turn the oven onto preheat for the tacos. The tacos are actually the hardest part...too long and they'll be too crispy...not enough and they'll be too soft.
Take 1 onion and dice fine and a 1/2 bunch of calianto leaves and dice fine.
"Hunter dice these leaves up while I cut these onions ok?" she said
"Yes ma'am....like this?" I said
She nodded her head and continued to dice the onions. After a while I started to whistle the dukes of hazzard theme song and the Clint Eastwood intro.
She started to laugh and snort and that made me start to snort to and we were like a bunch of snorting piglets..then she started to cackle.....I nearly died laughing so hard.
Mix all diced vegtables in a large bowl and add salt to your liking.
We finish cooking and then Momma's boyfriend showed up and ate it all. We were mad, but I was too tired to stay mad so I hopped into bed and went to sleep.
Eat with chips, use on tacos, add to rice, and smash avacado and add a little from above and make guacamole dip.

America today is extreamly different than the America in the 1950's. In the 50's men were the ones who brought in the money while the women stayed home and tended to the house. This "women are the new money maker thing" doesn't really affect me because my father was in jail all the time so my mom always did everything to bring in the money. Women are strong, I believe that women can be the money makers.
Capt. Kaththana Stagg and Tom Dunham are two prime examples in this article. Stagg is a army captain and Dunham it a stay at home dad. Stagg was told that she was too independent and a homemaker job was aproperiote for a southern girl. She wasn't having any of that. So she enlisted in the army and she loved it. Dunham had a electrician job but it was brutal on his body and didn't provide health insurance and required working on the holidays and it was an unstable source of income.
I think that my statements reflect on my own life and they actually relate to some extent. My mom is mom and dad for me and my sister and has always been there for me. My dad is always in jail so he can't help raise me and my sister. My mom cooked cleaned, punished, and loved me and my sister. My mom worked two jobs to keep the house and then my sister had to get a job after my mom had a stroke.
I support the women moneymaker thing. I've gone through a lot more than most kids my age so I understand.
